Niagara – Marjorie "Marge" A (LeDocq) Gunville, 88, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain, Mich.
She was born on March 16, 1932, daughter of the late Charles and Freida (LeGreve) LeDocq, Sr. Marge grew up and graduated from Kingsford High School, class of 1950. She married Robert "Bob" Gunville, November 18, 1950, at American Martyrs Catholic Church, Kingsford. He preceded her in death on November 20, 1988.
Together they ran the family dairy farm for many years, and Marge also worked at Kresge's Dime Store until it's closing. Marge was an active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara, Wis., where she served on many lunch committees for funerals and parish events. She also was a St. Anthony Council of Catholic Woman member. She had a strong religious faith and volunteered for many different organizations. Marge enjoyed spending time with her family and will be remembered for her sense of humor, family, and numerous friends.
Marge is survived by two sons Robert (Judith) Gunville, Quinnesec, Mich., and Donald (Rita) Gunville, Crivitz, Wis.; two daughters Linda (Kiff) Kohut of Belvidere, Ill., and Susan (David) Paoli, Kingsford, Mich.; and her grandchildren Nicole (Jeff) Gordon, Bobbi (Brian) Normand, Ryan (Jenette) Gunville, Brian Paoli, Dan (Liz) Paoli, David (Angela) Gunville and Phillip (Nicole) Gunville; great-grandchildren Bryce (Syndey), Kobe, Megan, Logan, Bailey, Mason, Maddox, Gabbi, Lexi, Lyric, Lincoln, Bentley, Baylee, Rena, Levi, and Leah; one brother Wilford DeDocq of Joliet, Ill and many nieces and nephews; a very special niece Judy Lantagne and very good friend Verna Chapman.
In addition to her parents and husband Bob, Marge was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles LeDocq, Jr. and Gilford LeDocq; four sisters Annabelle Trulock, Lillian Rodgers, Arlene Harper, and Lucille Emond.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 20, 2021, 9:00 am until 11:00 am; St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara, Wis. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 11:00 am, at the Church. Rev. Fr. Michael Lightner will officiate. St. Anthony Council of Catholic Women will offer prayers following the mass. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery, Niagara, Wis.
