Marion J. Sundquist, 94, died peacefully at home on Friday, April 29, 2011. She was born on June 23, 1916, in Negaunee, Mich., daughter of the late Albert and Mathilda (Matthews) Caswell. Marion married Oscar Sundquist in Gladstone, Mich., in 1933. They began residing in Crystal Falls in 1946. Marion is survived by her sons, James (Bonnie) Sundquist, John (Patricia Oakes) Sundquist, Robert Sundquist; daughter-in-law, Judy Sundquist; seven grandchildren, Lynn (Tim) Harmon, William Sundquist, John Sundquist, Eric Sundquist, James (Holly) Sundquist, Rick (Peggy) Belanger, Tammy (Robert) Vardigan; granddaughter-in-law, Charlotte (John) Lortie; numerous great-grandchildren including, Brian (fiancée, Jessica Jacobson) Perry, Julia (Michael) Courchaine, Jennifer (Josh) Hooper, Sarah (Jeff) Hagglund, Megan Sundquist, Matthew Sundquist, Jake Sundquist, and Max Sundquist; and several great-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Marion was preceded in death by two sons, William (Judy) Sundquist and Richard Sundquist. A private graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls.
