Marion Ruth Michaud, age 86, of Iron Mountain, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at her home, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born November 11, 1919, in Iron River, Mich., daughter of the late John and Etta (Massie) Hosking. On December 23, 1939, she married George Michaud. He preceded her in death in 1988. Marion grew up in Iron River and Iron Mountain. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include two sons; George (Sandy) Michaud of Iron Mountain, and Donald (Cyndi) Michaud of Kingsford, two daughters; Maryann (Ronald) Milbrath of Norway, and Debra (Bill) Amundson of Niagara, one sister Jackie (Don) Luedtke of Union Grove, Wis; 18 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren; seven step- great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband George, she was preceded in death by three great grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday March 4, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral Services will be Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor James Danielson will officiate. Burial will be in Breitung Township Cemetery in Quinnesec, Michigan.
