Iron Mountain:
Marion K. Ermoian, age 88, formerly of 100 Quincy St. in Kingsford, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at Manorcare Health Service in Kingsford.
She was born June 1, 1917, in Chicago, Illinois. She was raised in Chicago, and later married Bill Ermoian on December 31, 1941. Marion was a homemaker, and she helped Bill run his television repair business in the Chicago area until his retirement in 1971. At that time they moved to their vacation home in Armstrong Creek, Wisconsin. Bill became very active with the local DAV and the Veterans Hospital, and in 1978 they moved to Kingsford, Michigan. While in Chicago, she worked for Eastman Kodak as a biller and also Stetzen China as a dish decorator.
Marion was a life-long Roman Catholic and a member of American Martyrs Catholic Church. She was very active as a volunteer for the Dickinson County Hospital. She loved all animals, especially her cats Sheba and Mittens. Marion spent the last several years of her life at Manorcare in Kingsford, where the staff was very caring, compassionate, and attentive to her needs.
Marion is survived by her brother-in-law, John (Thelma) Ermoian, her sisters-in-law Hosanna Epperson, Agnes Warrick and Julie Bradley, and many nieces and nephews to whom she was a kind and devoted aunt. She is also survived by her special friends, Edna Oslund and Jan and Ted Gustafson and their children.
Marion was preceded in death by her mother, brother, step-father, and her husband Bill who died in 1991.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 9, 2005, from 9-10a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00a.m. at the Funeral Home. Fr. Joseph Gouin will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park.
