Obituary

Iron Mountain: Mario B. Rossato age 71, of Iron Mountain passed away Saturday August 19, 2006 at his home. Mario was born on May 29, 1935 in Loretto, Michigan son of the late Orazio and Teresina (Mauro) Rossato. He married Mary Lou LaJeunesse on May 27, 1960 in Iron Mountain. Mario served in the U.S. Marines from 1955 until his honorable discharge in 1957. He worked as a self employed plumber for many years. After retiring he took a position with the Iron Mountain Public Schools as a custodian. Mario enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to camp, watching deer and especially spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of over 46 years Mary Lou. His children Anne (Dale) Leifker, and their children, Patrick (Fiancée' Becky Perrault), Michael Leifker all of Green Bay, Wisc., John Rossato of Iron Mountain, Mich., and his children, Jason of Iron Mountain, Matt of Silverthorne, Colorado, Tony of Iron Mountain, Mich. Jane Rossato and her son, Rick of Iron Mountain, Mich. Pete (Teresa) Rossato of Kingsford, Mich. Three brothers, Ben (Beverly) Rossato of Loretto, Mich., Adolph (Helen) Rossato of Vulcan, Mich., and Bob (Georgene) Rossato of Norway, Mich. His mother in law Marie LaJeunesse of Felch, Mich., Sisters in law, Milly LaJeunesse of Milwaukee, Wisc., Marie (Sissy) LaJeunesse of Felch, Mich. Brothers in law, Joe (Sara) LaJeunesse of Manitowoc, Wisc., Jim LaJeunesse of Felch, Mich., Larry (Pat) Loar of Milwaukee, Wisc., Wayne Loar of Randville, Mich. Special Aunt Louise Shea of Iron Mountain, Mich., and many nieces, nephews, and cousins Besides his parents Mario was preceded by one sister, Gloria Rossato, father in law, Joe LaJeunesse and brothers in law, Paul and Marty Loar. Visitation will be Tuesday August 22, 2006 from 9:00a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. The American Legion and V.F.W. of Iron Mountain will offer full military honors at 11:45 a.m. Funeral services will be at 12:00p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Rev. David Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery.
