Obituary

Marilyn P. Graham, 81, of Niagara, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain, Mich. She was born April 24, 1933, in Niagara, daughter of the late Theodore and Vera (Douglas) Maes. Marilyn grew up in Niagara and graduated from Niagara High School, Class of 1951. After graduation she moved to Baltimore, MD. where she worked for the Civil Service. Marilyn married William Graham on June 21, 1952, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara. He preceded her in death in 1989. They resided in Italy for two years and then moved to Virginia Beach, VA where they resided until November of 1969 at which time they moved to Niagara. She stayed at home and took care of her family until they were raised. Marilyn then went to work for over 20 years at Maryhill Manor as manager of the laundry department. Marilyn was a member of Oak Crest Golf Course, Norway, Mich. for many years, she loved playing golf and playing cards with her friends, going shopping and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by two sons, Mike (Anne) Graham, Port Richey, Fla. and Steve (Allison) Graham, Kingsford; two daughters, Cathy Lantagne, Niagara and Cheryl Schuyler, Waterford, Wis.; twelve grandchildren, Rob (Erika Campbell) Graham, Shannon Lantagne, Ali (Michael Colenso) Graham, Melissa (Russ) Metoxen, Michelle (Brad) Richtig, Justin Graham, Larry (Melissa Tollefson) Dolder, Kevin (Hilary) Graham, Kelly (Michael Christensen) Graham, Phillip Schuyler, Bryan Schuyler and Jacob Schuyler; nine great-grandchildren; one niece and two nephews. Visitation will be Saturday, October 11, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery, Niagara. Memorials can be made to the Dickinson County Cancer Unit, 1401 ½ S. Carpenter Avenue, Kingsford, MI 49802. The family has chosen the Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel to honor Marilyn's Legacy of Life.
