Iron Mountain: Marie L. Geerts age 80 of 1100 E. Breitung Avenue, Kingsford died Saturday March 29, 2003 at her home. Marie was born on May 22, 1922 in Goodman, Wisconsin daughter of the late Napoleon and Delina (Bezio) Cahee. Marie moved to Kingsford at a young age were she resided all of her life. Marie worked at Hancock wood Products for 19yrs retiring in 1986. She was an active member of American Martyrs Catholic Church. Marie enjoyed many hobbies including, hunting, fishing, reading, woodworking, and especially making her weekly trips to the casino. Marie is survived by, One brother Donald (Patricia) Cahee of Republic, MI., Two grandchildren, Rhonda Veker and Scott LaVigne, five Great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded by, One daughter Diana LaVigne in 1985. Her step father Clifford Beaulier, Two brothers, Edward Cahee and Jerome Beaulier. Two sisters, Isabelle Kingbile and Florence Bonefine. Also a very special friend Lillian Lobner who preceded on December 11, 1997. Visitation will be Tuesday April 1, 2003 from 9-10:30AM at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Prayers will be recited Tuesday 10:30AM at the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday 11AM at American Martyrs Catholic Church. Fr. Joseph Gouin will officiate. Burial will be in Breitung Towwnship Cemetery in Quinnesec.
