Obituary

Maridon E. (Nemeth) Miller, 67, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital after a brief fight with cancer. Maridon was born in Grosse Isle, lower Michigan. Her parents later moved to Kingsford and Maridon graduated from Kingsford High School as part of the class of '57. Maridon was a whiz bridge player (as her weekly bridge buddies Vi Wiser, Betty Hammersley and Jan Potter will tell you) and made many new friends playing bridge on-line once she figured out how to work the computer! She also loved to watch old movies and beat anyone who would play her in cribbage. Maridon lived in Florida for many years caring for her mother and father. She recently moved back to Kingsford and married her childhood friend, Wayne Daniels. Maridon's wit and keen sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her oldest son Jimmy House and her parents Don and Marie Nemeth. She leaves her husband, Wayne Daniels, her daughter Ellen (Randy) Harvath, Marshall, lower Mich., her son Robert (Monica), Highland, lower Mich. She also leaves four grandchildren, Thomas and Eric House of LaJolla, Calif., Simone and Roxanna Harvath, Marshall, as well as her brother Rick (Linda), Seffner, Fla, sisters Janice (Bob) Renner, Ocala, Fla., Elaine (Ray) Lawrence, several nieces and nephews. The family will gather in Marshall for a private funeral service at St. Mary Catholic Church with inurnment of ashes at St. Mary Cemetery in April. A local memorial mass will be announced at a later date. Maridon cherished her pets and the family requests that memorial gifts be sent to the Dickinson County Humane Society or the animal shelter of choice. Many heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jacobs as well as the hospital nurses who cared for Maridon during her final days on Earth. You, O Lord, have put joy in my heart; more than by giving me wine and food. I lie down, and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me feel safe and secure. Friends may leave condolences and tributes to Maridon's family online at www.jacobsfuneralhomes.com The Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron Mountain is serving the family.
