Maria "Carol" Lindgren, 81, of Aurora, Wis., passed away June 14, 2009, at Hoffmann Paradise, Armstrong Creek, Wis.
She was born July 27, 1927, in Iron Mountain, Mich., daughter of the late George and Maria (Hosking) Paquin. Carol married George Lindgren in 1945, in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death on September 16, 1985.
Carol's favorite hobby was raising canaries. She was known as the "Bird Lady" of Aurora. Carol loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren.
She was a Sunday school teacher, 4-H leader, and a friend to everyone who needed her. Carol is already missed.
Carol is survived by one daughter, Merry (Richard) Cook, Evart, Mich.; four sisters, Dorothy (Donald) Paschal, Hubert, N.C., Margaret Daniels, Belleview, Fla., Joyce McCain, Flager Beach, Fla., Catherine MacNees, Iron Mountain; one sister-in-law, Marie Paquin, Ocala, Fla.; one brother-in-law, Robert Morrell, Kingsford; two grandsons, Robert (Roxanne) Broullire, Mark (Joie) Broullire, both of Aurora; and three great-grandchildren, Garrett, Bailey, and Emma Broullire.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; one sister, Ruth Morrell; three brothers-in-law, Ernest Daniels, David McCain, Gordon MacNees.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 18, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at the Aurora Free Church, Aurora. Pastor Carl Utzat will officiate.
