Margaret J. Spletzer, 82, Green Bay, Wis., formerly of Crystal Falls, Mich., passed away Friday, October 17, 2008, at Aurora Baycare Medical Center, Green Bay.
She was born January 20,1926, in Newberry, Mich., daughter of the late Frank and Violet (Wilson) Bennett. She married Walter A. Spletzer on July 15,1947, in Dearborn, Mich. He preceded her in death on May 30,1980.
While Margaret lived in Crystal Falls she worked for years as a bookkeeper at the Iron County Medicare. She was a member of United Lutheran Church, the V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Home Extension Club. She taught Sunday School and sold Avon products. After moving to Green Bay, she worked at Bay Park Mall in guest services. Margaret's hobbies included making ceramics, baking, shopping and she loved to sing, dance and travel.
Survivors include her son, Gary Spletzer, Green Bay; two daughters, Sally Spletzer, Green Bay, Sandra Stream, Crystal Falls; seven grandchildren, Scott, Tyler and Sheena Spletzer, Sherry Stream, Shelly Stream-Huyck, Jon and James Stream; three great-grandchildren, Aspen, Emily and Evangelina; one brother, Jack (Betty) Bennett, Newberry, Mich.; three sisters, Marvel (Jerry) Bergeron, Warren, Mich., Ruby (Dave) Sans, Kalamazoo, Mich., and Wilda Keinonen, Escanaba, Mich.
Margaret was an adored mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She will be missed by her family and all who came to know her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter, and four brothers, Orville, Jim, Tom and Dick Bennett.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 21, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls. The funeral service will be Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Michael Laakko will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls.
