Margaret M. Peterson, 75, of Dunbar, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital, Iron Mountain.
Margaret was born on December 25, 1937, in Chicago, ILL., daughter of the late Roxy and Margaret (Weichel) Prette. She graduated from Touley High School in Chicago. After graduation, Margaret worked for an Insurance Agency in Chicago. She married Harry P. Peterson, Jr. on September 6, 1957 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Chicago. Margaret worked for at LaSalle Bank in Chicago as a Consumer Lender for 25 years, retiring in 1998.
Margaret and her husband frequently vacationed in the Pembine area throughout the years and in 2011, moved to Dunbar. She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church, Pembine. Margaret enjoyed many hobbies, including, collecting music boxes, ceramics, but most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 54 years, Harry; two sons, Kevin (Betty) Peterson, Carol Stream, ILL. and Gregory (Kathleen) Peterson, Elmwood, Park, ILL.; one brother, Robert (Roseann) Prette, Burridge, ILL.; two sisters, Kathy (Jim) Nugent, Villa Park, ILL. and Roxanne (Jim) Randolph, Shorewood, ILL.; five grandchildren, Kristen (Jason), Kelly, Erik, Haley and Nicole; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation and Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, September 7, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Catholic Church, Pembine, Wis. Rev. Matt Settle will officiate.
