Margaret M. Butler, 88, died peacefully with her family at her side Sunday, April 6, 2008, at the Aurora Bay Care Medical Center, Green Bay. She was born August 20, 1919, in Iron River, Michigan daughter of the late Maude (Hill) and Charles McFarland. Margaret lived in Iron River, until the time of her marriage to Robert Butler, when she moved to Crystal Falls. She most recently lived in Green Bay, Wisconsin, near her daughter Sharon and had also lived in Cadillac, Michigan, near her daughter Kay. Margaret is survived by her daughters, Kay Downs and Sharon Jacobson; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Margaret will be remembered most for the deep love she had for her family. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Butler, in 1981; her second husband, Sidney Howell, in 1996; her son-in-law, David Downs; brother, David McFarland; and sisters, Alice, Amy, Kay, and Marian. Visitation will be Thursday, April 10, 2008, from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls.
