Iron Mountain: Margaret Bolitho, age 87, formerly of Norway and Evergreen Assisted Living in Kingsford, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2005, at Mary Hill Manor Nursing Home in Niagara, Wisconsin. Margaret was born January 11, 1918, in Norway, Michigan, the daughter of the late Thomas and Lillian (Pascoe) Bolitho. She grew up in Norway and graduated from Norway High School in 1935. After graduation, Margaret was employed at the Norway High School Principal's office, later worked in Milwaukee and then returned to work at the Iron Mountain Daily News. She later took a position at Iron Mountain's Veterans Hospital, where she fulfilled thirty years of dedicated service. Margaret leaves her loving family which includes her brother Curtis of Brooksville, Florida, two nephews Gordon (Roberta) Lund of Chicago, Illinois, Thomas (Barbara) Bolitho of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, two nieces Susan Zukowski of New Hampshire and Norma Bolitho of Iowa, and she is a great aunt of six. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Leslie and Leonard Bolitho and one sister Irene Lund. Margaret was honored to participate in the 100th birthday celebration of her dear friend, Pearl Grimes. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 28, 2005, from 10:00 – 10:45a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. At 10:45a.m. a short gathering prayer will be held before processing to the Norway Township Cemetery where the interment will take place. Pastor David Wallis of the Grace United Methodist Church of Norway will officiate. Memorials can be made to Maryhill Manor Nursing Home of Niagara or Grace United Methodist Church of Norway.
