Margaret D. Bastian, 84, of Kingsford, passed away Monday, February 15, 2010, at Pine Crest Medical Care Facility, Powers, Mich. She was born February 27, 1925, in Channing, Michigan, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Johnson. Margaret married Cletus Bastian on May 27, 1950, at St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Iron Mountain. They lived in Iron Mountain for a short time before moving to Marquette, Michigan, where they owned and operated Rest A While Cabins. Margaret and Cletus moved back to Kingsford in 1981. Margaret was a member of American Martyrs Catholic Church, Kingsford. She enjoyed bowling, cooking for her family, going to the casino, and especially playing games with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Cletus Bastian; one son, Thomas (Dorothy) Bastian, Columbus, Ohio; two grandchildren, Harley Bastian and John Sharrock, both of Columbus.
