Obituary

Marcy Brown, 84, of Niagara, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson in Iron Mountain surrounded by her loving family.

Marcy was born on February 25, 1939, in Norway, MI, daughter of the late Agnes (Oberthaler) Faull and Hilding Peterson. She graduated from Powers-Spaulding High School.

She married Donald Brown of Niagara in May 5, 1962.

Marcy Brown was one of the most selfless human beings to walk this earth. She absolutely loved life and ultimately lived it for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. When she asked someone to go for a " ride up town" that meant bring your walking shoes because you are going shopping that entire day. She was known for making any holiday special for our family and friends. When grandma came for her visits, it was like Christmas for the little ones. She was one of a kind and irreplaceable.

She was preceded in death by her only daughter, Natalie; her mother and father; brothers, Charles, Eugene, Franklin, Richard, and Jimmy Peterson, and Clifford Faull; and sisters, Kathy Hendrickson, Charlene Johnson, and Marleah Le Master.

Marcy is survived by her husband, Don; two children, Shad (Briana) Brown of Niagara, and Shawn (Audrey) Brown of Niagara; sister, Doris (Sonny) Thomas of Norway; brother, Jerry (Jan) Eklund of Ironwood; grandchildren, Brandon (Lisa) Dumke, Courtney (Brian) Krabbe, Nicholas (Kiana) Brown, Cole (Skyler) Teafoe, Shannon (Matt) Wilcox, Chelsea and Beau Brunet; and great-grandchildren, Braxton Krabbe, Hudson Krabbe, Nixon Brown, Nash Brown, Kinsley Brown, Brynlee Wilcox, and Brantlee Wilcox.

On behalf of our entire family we would like to thank the staff at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson and the VA Medical Center. The nursing staff that cared for Marcy during her final days showed sacrificial love and an uncompromising commitment of care for our mother/grandmother. We will forever be grateful for their kindness, expertise, and wisdom.

In accordance with Marcy's wishes, a private family service will be held.
