Madeline M. Salo, age 80, of Crystal Falls, died Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls. She was born, September 9, 1925, in Amasa, daughter of the late John and Grace (St. Louis) Tucker. On December 24, 1944, she married Waino Salo in Crystal Falls . He preceded her in death on April 12, 2002. Madeline was a homemaker and lived in Waukegan, Ill. and Winter, Wis. prior to returning to Crystal Falls in 1991. Survivors include, one daughter, Lynne (Edward) Nelson, Hartland, Wis., one son, John (Cherie) Salo, Citronelle, Ala.; and two grandchildren, Heather and Eric Salo, Chicago, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Waino Salo, and one son Leslie Salo in 1984. Private family graveside services will be held at the Winter Cemetery, Winter, Wis. The Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls is serving the family.
