Mabel Nellie Woodard, age 90, of Iron River and formerly of Trout Creek, died Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at her home in Iron River. She was born September 11, 1915 in Thompsonville, daughter of the late Francis E. And Nellie L. (DeFayter) Chichester. She married Milton Woodard. He survives. Mabel was a homemaker most of her life but did work in a butcher shop at one time. She and Milton lived in Trout Creek, Ontonogan County prior to moving to Iron River. Mabel loved to cook and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Milton Woodard, Iron River and one daughter, Nellie Woodard, Sonoma, Calif. Memorial services were held. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Haight Township.
