Lucille Peterson, 92, of Amasa, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at Northstar Health System, Iron River.
She was born February 10, 1919, in the Tobin location of Crystal Falls, daughter of the late Peter and Antonetti Ropiak. Lucille married Odin Peterson on June 20, 1936. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1966.
Lucille retired from James River Corporation in 1984. She was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Amasa Historical Museum.
She is survived by two sons, James (Dawn) Peterson, Corpus Christi, Texas, Don (Delores) Peterson, Naperville, Ill.; one grandchild, Mark Peterson; four nieces, Jeanette Woods, Alpha, Irene Haberle, Menomonee Falls, Wis., Cosette, N.C., Renee, Minn; one nephew, Charles Dora, Alpha; and many friends.
Along with her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by one son, Richard Peterson.
Burial will be in the Hematite Township Cemetery, Amasa.
