Iron Mountain – Louise E. Roberts, 102, passed away February 2, 2019, at Florence Heath Services, Florence, Wis.

She was born November 10, 1916, in Iron Mountain, Mich., to the late John and Laura (Tretheway) Maynard. Louise graduated from Iron Mountain High School, class of 1934. She married James Roberts, June 13, 1942, In Iron Mountain and he preceded her in death on November 7, 1988.

Louise worked for George Best Printing for many years, Townsend Bookkeeping and Tax Service, Iron Mountain and volunteered at the Oscar G. Johnson Veterans Hospital for 20 years. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Iron Mountain. Louise enjoyed many hobbies including crafts at the church with the "Joy Crafters", knitting, and time spent with her family and friends. Louise cherished her last few years that she spent at Victorian Pines where she met many new friends.

She is survived by her sister Kathleen Rochon, Virginia, formerly a long-time resident of Iron Mountain; her niece Barb Clemo and family, of Iron Mountain; as well as other nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, and her husband, James, Louise was preceded in death by three brothers John, William, and Henry Maynard; three sisters Margaret Maynard, Francis Quick and Dorothy Clemo; three brothers-in-law J. Robert Rochon, Henry Clemo and George Quick; four sisters-in-law Eva Maynard, Charlotte Maynard, Matilda "Tillie" Maynard and Sybil Seay

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 9, 2019, from 9:30 am until 10:00 am at Trinity United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am at the church. Pastor Geri Hamlen will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain in the spring.
