Iron Mountain: Louis H. Nardelli age 91 of 509 Millie Street in Iron Mountain died Saturday November 30, 2002 at the Florence Villa Nursing Home in Florence, Wisconsin.
Louis was born on November 25, 1911 in Norway, Michigan son of the late Enrico and Emma (Calliari) Nardelli.
Louis was raised in Norway and attended school in Vulcan. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII serving in the European Theater from 1943 until 1945. Louis received many medals for his service to our country. Louis married Quinta Caruso on June 24, 1940 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Iron Mountain. They both have resided in Iron Mountain ever since. Louis worked for Joseph Lori in Norwy, the Central Super Market in Breitung and Schinderle's Market on the Northside of Iron Mountain as a meat cutter for many years. He was known for his Italian Sausage, Porketta and specialty cuts.
Louis was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic church were he served a an usher for over 40yrs. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus of Iron Mountain and Kingsford.
He is suvived by his wife of 62 years Quinta. His daughter Judi (Raymond) King of Lynchburg, VA. Two sisters Flo Taylor of Iron Mountain, MI., Carmella Kauss of Longview, WA., Two grandchildren; Jill Elizabeth King of Charlotte, NC., and Gregory (Malia) King of Lynchburg, VA., Many dear nieces and nephews and special friends Dan and Anne McMahon of Iron Mountain.
Louis is preceded by; An infant son Donald. Two sisters; Lena Stepuson and Mary Aronson.
Visitation will be Monday from 6-8PM at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral Services will be Tuesday 9:30AM at the Jacobs Funeral Home and the mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.
