Louis J. Molle 81, of Niagara passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014, at his home.
He was born March 10, 1933, in Niagara, son of the late Louis and Elizabeth (Thoune) Molle, Sr. Louis grew up in Niagara and graduated from Niagara High School, Class of 1951. He married Yvonne Weber on September 19, 1951, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara. She preceded him in death on May 19, 2001. Louis worked for Kimberly Clark and Pentair Paper Corporation in Niagara retiring in 1995. While at the mill he was a member of the local union, serving as its union steward, treasurer and chief negotiator. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends, traveling to Florida, spending time at his cottage at the lake, watching Niagara High School sporting events and especially telling family stories.
Louis is survived by two sons, Randy (Jyl) Molle, Madison, Wisc. and Brian (Deb) Molle, Plattevillle, Wisc.; one daughter, Julie (Craig) Hopfensperger, Waterford, Wisc.; one daughter-in-law, Beth Molle, Niagara; a very special friend for many years, Arlene Eggener, Niagara; four sisters, Lyda Haskins, River Falls, Wisc., Evelyn Kiesling, River Falls, Doris Growden, Lake Tahoe, Calif. and Kathy (Walter) Michaud, Kingsford; five grandchildren, Matthew (Amber) Molle, Jason (Erin) Molle, Megan (Nathan) Lawinger, Kelsey (Andy) Del Ponte, Jenna (Al Sazama) Molle; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife Yvonne Louis was preceded in death by one son Gary, 2001; two infant brothers, Clifford and Louis and two sisters Marie Johnson and Alice Keck.
Visitation will be Monday, May 5, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, 11:00 a.m. at the church. Father Matt Settle will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery.
