Obituary

Lorraine B. Provencher, 56, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Thursday January 27, 2011, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain. She was born on August 9, 1954, in Iron Mountain, daughter of Alvin and Jeanette (Leslie) Perry. Lorraine married Joseph Provencher on August 12, 1972, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara. Lorraine graduated from Pembine High School, Class of 1996. She worked for the Goodman Mill, Coleman Lake Club, and the Wausaukee Composite Manufacturing Company. Lorraine loved hunting, especially fishing on Mother's Day, camping, knitting, crocheting, reading novels, traveling, gardening, and collecting angels. She dearly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Joseph E. Provencher; two sons, Edward (Jennifer) Provencher, Niagara, Joseph (Amity) Provencher, Dunbar; three daughters, Darlene (Howard) Brault, Dunbar, Diane (Erik) Blosser, Dunbar, Jo Ann Provencher, Norway, Mich.; her parents, Alvin and Jeanette Perry, Pembine; four brothers, Michael (Sue) Perry, Coleman, Wis., Casey (Dianne) Perry, Green Bay, Wis., Tracey Perry, Wausaukee, Clifford (Sheryl) Perry, Crivitz; four sisters, Beverly (James) Watson, Quinnesec, Mich., Nancy Perry, Crivitz, Wis., Roxanne (Mark) Tauschek, New Franken, Wis., Audrey (Shawn) Brown, Niagara; one sister-in-law, Lynne Perry, Wauceda, Mich.; eleven grandchildren, Bryce, Destin, Ashley, Tyler, Kevin, Kelsie, Abigail, Reese, Paige, Dylan, Marissa; numerous nieces and nephews. Lorraine was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Provencher; one daughter, Wendy Provencher; one brother Jeffery Perry; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Norma Josephine Provencher. The visitation will be Saturday, January 29, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday at the funeral home. Rev. Matt Settle will officiate. Burial will be in Dunbar Cemetery in the spring.
