Lorraine M. Nylund, 81, of Crystal Falls, Mich., passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011, at Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls. She was born April 13, 1929, in Amasa, Mich., daughter of the late Anthony and Victoria (Kania) Pivatto. Lorraine married LeRoy Nylund; he survives. Lorraine was a member of the Guardian Angels Catholic Church. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, photography, animals, and being outdoors. Lorraine was also active in the family business. She is survived by her husband, LeRoy Nylund, Crystal Falls; three sons, Kim (Tina) Nylund, Lee (Sally) Nylund, Bob (Jackie) Nylund, all of Crystal Falls; one brother, Robert (Darlene) Pivatto, Crystal Falls; two sisters, Toni Ann (Allan) Trewnick, Patricia (William) Mackie, both of Crystal Falls; nine grandchildren, Jeremy (Julie) Nylund, Jamie (Brian) Carollo, Jessica Nylund, Trisha Nylund, Lacey (Thomas) Nye, Jeffrey Nylund, Dan Nylund, Rod Nylund, Samantha Nylund; four great-grandchildren, Ella Nylund, Kelsey Nylund, Emmi Carollo, and Thomas Nye. Lorraine was preceded in death by one son, Rod Nylund; one sister, Rodine McGregor; and one grandson, Ricky Nylund. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Nylund, Dan Nylund, Jeffrey Nylund, Rod Nylund, John Nylund, John Longhi, and David Pivatto. The visitation will be held Thursday, February 10, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Thursday at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Crystal Falls. Rev. Raymond Valerio will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls.
