Obituary

Lola Gail Lincoln, 54, of Pound, Wisconsin, was born into eternal life on May 23, 2008, at her home in Pound, surrounded by her family and friends. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will live on. She was born November 6, 1953, in Marshfield, Wis., daughter of the late L.G. and Leila (Smith) Anderson. Lola grew up and received her education in Loyal, Wisconsin, graduating from Loyal High School in 1971. Following her graduation, Lola attended the University of Superior in Superior, Wisconsin, where she majored in Physical Education, and minored in Psychology. Lola met Terry Lincoln in college, they married on December 28, 1974. Terry and Lola started their family having two sons, Lance Aaron and Travis Ryan in Superior, and in 1985, moved to Niagara. Lola played a very active part in the school and in the community. She was a substitute teacher for the school districts throughout the area and coached the summer youth soccer team (S.A.Y. organization). Lola was the head of the Youth Futures High School Community Service, an organization that helped students make better choices for themselves. She coached the Kids Bowling League and was a foster parent. Lola was a member of the Niagara Women's Bowling League and was active with the Community Chest, Booster Club, fundraisers in the Niagara community, and chaperoned high school dances. She was an advocate for her two sons, in their education, Boy Scouts, sporting activities, life achievements and in their adulthood. Lola was a member of the Riverside Methodist Church in Niagara. She was known as a person willing to help out anyone, anytime or anyway she could. Lola's greatest loves were her two sons, family and her grandchildren. She was a great mother and dedicated her love unconditionally. Lola was a generous person, and her sense of humor was contagious. She always had something to say no matter what. Lola's life was full of many special people, her friendships were cherished. Lola's greatest pleasures were teaching and traveling. Her journey might have been cut short, but her vibrant spirit will live on within all that knew her. She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Lance Aaron Anderson-Lincoln, Niagara, Travis Ryan Anderson-Lincoln, Green Bay, Wis.; grandchildren, Dawson Terry Lincoln, Danika James Lincoln, both of Niagara; step-daughter, Tracy Lynn Ripp (Boomer), Poynette, Wis.; five sisters, Colleen (Ron) Anderson, Owen, Wis., Wendy (Larry) Anderson-Markow, Janesville, Wis., Christine Huskelhus, Marshfield, Letha Anderson of Loyal, Amy (Thomas) Mouldon, Kyle, Tex.; special friend and devoted companion, Michael Beauleau, Pound; treasured and devoted life-long friends, Gary and Mary Hansen, Niagara; caregiver, confidante, and trusted friend, Sandy Neargarth, Niagara; many dearest and cherished friends of Niagara; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday, May 31, 2008, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel. The memorial service will be Saturday, 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Celebrant Peter Carli will officiate.
