Linda Lee Gardner, age 53, of Republic Township, died Monday, February 6, 2006 at her home, surrounded by family and friends, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 31, 1952 in Crystal Falls daughter of Steve and Virginia (Fisher) Kohon. On April 3, 1976 at Christ United Methodist Church in Crystal Falls she married Rodney Gardner. He survives. Linda was a nurse and did training at Bay de Noc, worked at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay and the former Crystal Falls Hospital, Crystal Falls. She also was a clerk at the Republic Family Foods. Linda enjoyed home decorating, reading and movies. Survivors include her husband, Rodney Gardner, Republic; one daughter, Jennifer (Philip) Gravedoni, Green Bay; one son, Brian Gardner, Republic; her mother and father, Steve and Virginia Kohon, Crystal Falls; one sister, Jan (Ron) Ream, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; mother- and father-in-law, Gerry and Leonard Gardner, Republic; one aunt, Shirley Steinke, Crystal Falls, cousins, other relatives and friends. She is further survived by her beloved and precious Sophie. Visitation will be Thursday, February 9, 2006 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, Crystal Falls. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. Rev. Stephen E. Rhoades will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls.
