Linda M. Bell, 64, of Iron Mountain, passed away Monday, June 20, 2011, at Dickinson County Healthcare System after a twenty year courageous battle with cancer.
Linda's celebration of life began on June 11, 1947. She lived in Chicago in her younger years when her father was transferred there with the Ford Motor Plant Company. The family later returned to Kingsford where Linda graduated from Kingsford High School, Class of 1965.
She married her soul mate, William J. Bell, on August 1, 1970, with a co-celebrated mass officiated by Fr. Gondeck and Fr. Donnely.
Linda was employed by the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Credit Union in the 1970's, and later the Iron Mountain Middle School as a librarian aide. She also worked at St. Mary and St. Joseph Church and school as a bookkeeper, for Fr. Gondeck at St. Mary Queen of Peace in Kingsford and Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Crystal Falls, and sold real estate for several years.
She was a member of St. Mary Queen of Peace. Linda enjoyed going to camp, spending time with her grandchildren, playing with her special little pal, "Rufus", homemade fish fries with the family, fishing, 4-wheeling with her grandson Tony, rock and roll music, and being surrounded by her family during the holiday seasons, enjoying her homemade perogies.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of forty years, Bill; two daughters, Deena Pietrantonio, Lorrie (Mike) Vross; two granddaughters, Lexie and Libby Vross; one grandson, Tony Pietrantonio; one special brother, Ron; a dear friend, Nina; and many special and dear nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Violet Rucinski on January 28, 1982; father, Frank, Rucinski, Sr., on Nov 15, 1975; and brother, Frank on March 16, 2002.
The visitation will be Friday, June 24, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. Prayers will be offered Friday, 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Saturday at St. Mary Queen of Peace, Kingsford. Rev. Mike Woempner will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
