Lilly Opal Lawry, 88, of Crystal Falls, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2010, at Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls. She was born May 8, 1921, in Phelps, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Grady W. and Minnie (Wells) Lester. In 1941, she married Robert M. Lawry in Crystal Falls. He preceded her in death on December 27, 1999. Opal was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She retired as a housekeeper for the former Crystal Manor and enjoyed her time at the medical care facility with her many friends, including other patients and staff. Survivors include, two daughters, Connie Tolzman, Nekoosa, Wis., Jeannie Hem, Chilton, Wis.; one son, Henry (Marlene) Lawry, Crystal Falls; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Opal was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Lawry, and siblings.
