Iron Mountain-Lillian Marie Bouffiou, entered into eternal life on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, at Maryhill Manor in Niagara, Wisc.

She was born September 9, 1922, to the late Frank and Anna (Youngquist) Skoog in Niagara, Wisc. Lillian married Donald Bouffiou, Sr., December 19, 1942, in Chicago, Ill. by Rev. Vernon Ryding. Rev. Ryding was a former pastor of First Lutheran Church, Iron Mountain, Mich.; he confirmed Lillian in 1936. She was a dedicated lifetime member of First Lutheran Church. Lillian's husband of 61 years, Donald, preceded her in death on March 17, 2004. Their daughter, Karla (Jeff) Ellis preceded her in death on October 25, 1999. Her faith and family were the most important things in her life. During her stay at Maryhill Manor, she sought comfort and peace in their beautiful chapel.

Lillian is survived by 6 children and a son in law Donald (Judy) Bouffiou Jr., Franksville, Wisc., Lynn (Ken) Stohl of Seffner, Fla., Tina Erickson (Kevin Whaley), Iron Mountain, Mich., Todd (Marilyn) Bouffiou, Wilson, Mich., Shelley (Dave) Byrne, Kingsford, Mich., Wendy Kletschka, Kingsford, Mich., and Jeff (Jane) Ellis (son in law), Iron Mountain, Mich.; fourteen grandchildren Cynthia (Robert) Bruinsma, Michelle (James) Baumann, James (Dana) Bouffiou, Angela (Gerald) Emond, Kristopher (Megan) Lund Sr., Anthony (Bee) Erickson, Edward Erickson, Amy (James) Stanchina, Kayla (Nick) Starnes, Joshua (Raeanne) Belanger, Stephanie (Craig) Tomczak, Heather (Christopher) Strong, John Kletschka (Cara Jacobson), and Nicole Kletschka (Kyle Coy); thirty great-grandchildren Robert, Jr. (Michelle)Bruinsma, Marc (Heather) Bruinsma, Heather (Jacob) Bartelt, Joshua (Amy) Baumann, Justin Baumann, Amanda (Nolan) Laho, Jesse Bouffiou, Jenna Bouffiou, Nathan Lund, Zachary (Maria) Duby, Jonah Emond, Kristopher Lund Jr., Brynn Lund, Justin Lund, Mia Cortese, Anthony Cortese, Alexander Cortese, Katherine Erickson, Alexander Erickson, Kali Stanchina, Kara Stanchina, Katelyn Starnes, Ella Starnes, Emilee Starnes, Sidney Tomczak, Morgan Tomczak, Preston Strong, Cory Strong, Gavin Strong, and Trinity Christmas; nine great-great-grandchildren Kyler Hell, Lillyan Bruinsma, Henley Bruinsma, Makua Hartman, Kiley Tuinstra, Kora Laho, Haley Baumann, Katelyn Baumann, and Jayce Bartelt; two sisters-in-law Elaine (Thomas) Beyer and Kathleen (Henry) Opolka; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and daughter, Lillian was preceded in death by three brothers Gunnar, Ivar, and Ragnar Lundquist; and four sisters Viola (Luther) Roberts, Hilma (Edward) Cecco, Agnes (William) Staple, and Linnea (Carl) Schei.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 1, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, Iron Mountain. Funeral services will take place Saturday, at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Rev. Paul Strom will officiate.
