Iron Mountain: Leonard Draves, age 57, of Iron Mountain, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2004,at Dickinson County Healthcare System. He was born December 14, 1947, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of the late Clifford and Betty (Marshall) Draves. He grew up in Beloit, Wisconsin, and graduated from Beloit High School. He joined the U S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam War and served two tours of duty. When he returned from service he moved to Watertown, Milwaukee and a few different areas, moving to Iron Mountain in 1993. Leonard was employed by Dory Electric in Crivitz, WI, for five years and most recently worked for Khoury Inc. as a supervisor. He was a member of Uren-Cooper-Johnson American Legion Post 50 in Iron Mountain. Survivors include one son Donald (Michelle) Draves of New Berlin, WI, two daughters Tina Draves of Watertown, WI, and Tiffany (Anthony) Beaster of Crystal Falls, MI, one brother Jon (Marilyn) Draves of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, two step-brothers Bruce (Shawn) Allen of Beloit, WI, Tom (Teddy) Allen of Southern, WI., eleven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Leonard was preceded in death by one brother Clifford Draves. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 28, 2004, from 10-11a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. American Legion Post 50 Veteran's services will be at 10:45a.m. Funeral services will be at 11:00a.m. Tuesday, at Jacobs Funeral Home. Pastor Michael Laakko of United Lutheran Church of Crystal Falls will officiate.
