Crystal Falls-Leo H. Weese, age 92, of Iron River, formerly of Crystal Falls, Mich., passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Iron River Care Center. He was born May 20, 1924 in Joliet, Ill., to the late Leo and Martha (Meyers) Weese. Leo grew up in Joliet and was a graduate of Joliet High School. He served in the United States Air Force for 8 years and was united in marriage to the late Rosemarie Borio. Leo's hobbies included fishing, bowling, sports, and going to the casino. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion, as well as Guardian Angels Catholic Church. Leo sold electrical equipment and had worked for Crescent Electric, until his retirement. Survivors include four sons, Richard (Andrea) of Joliet, Ill., Anthony (Trish) of Chickaloon, Alaska, Randy (Dana) of Shorewood, Ill. and Ronnie of Joliet, Ill.; two daughters, Debbie (Jim) Bozych of Crystal Falls, Mich. and Nancy Bilderback of Miss.; 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and by one son-in-law, Al Bittner of Caspian, Mich. Leo was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one daughter, Kathy; and by two sisters. Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
