Lenora I. Hazelwood, 92, of Spread Eagle, passed away Thursday, October, 11, 2012, at Golden Living Center, Florence. She was born March 31, 1920, in Dixon, Ill., daughter of the late Cris and Mary (Sieling) Spade. At a young age, Lenora moved to Pembine and attended school there. She married Edward Hazelwood in Dixon and lived there before moving to Spread Eagle. He preceded her in death in May 1982. Lenora enjoyed crocheting, snowmobiling, dancing, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and family. She is survived by one son, Francis (Helen) Hazelwood, Spread Eagle; two daughters, Patricia (Roddy) Lowry, Jossie Kemp, both of Dixon; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Lenora was preceded in death by one daughter, Audrey Hazelwood, three brothers, Jake, Harry, and Vernon Spade; two sisters, Amy Gollakner, and Isabelle Lund. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
