Florence: Lawrence "Fuss" Forseth age 87, of Florence, Wisconsin passed away on August 13, 2004 at the Florence Villa Nursing Home in Florence, Wisconsin. Lawrence was born on May 15, 1917 to the late Peter and Emma (Buckland) Forseth in Cameron, Wisconsin. He moved to the Florence area when he was two. He attended the Florence Schools and graduated from Florence High School. On July 16, 1938, he married the former Esther Soderberg in Aurora, Wisconsin. Uniquely, they both celebrated the same birthday and were the same age. Lawrence worked for many years for the Town of Florence where he served as Road Commissioner until his retirement in May, 1979. He enjoyed gardening, maintaining his lovely yard, baking homemade bread, and he loved watching sporting events-especially the Packers. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather who was affectionately called "GG" by his great-grandchildren. He is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Merril) Peterson of Green Bay, Wisconsin and Jeri (Larry) Meyer of Florence; one son, Lawrence D. Forseth of Green Bay, Wisconsin; one daughter-in-law, Jerilyn Forseth of Green Bay, Wisconsin; Six grandchildren, Cathy (Kevin) Peterson-Jennings and Shelly (Morgan) Meachum of Detroit, Michigan, Wendy (Jeffrey) Reince of Foretville, Wisconsin, Jon (Jessica) Meyer of Appleton, Wisconsin, Missy (Chris Hubacher) Meyer of Racine, Wisconsin, and Tony Forseth of Green bay, Wisconsin. Three great grandchildren, Colton and Danielle Reince and Christina Forseth. One brother-in-law, five sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews including three special nephews, Ronald, Bob, and Russell Forseth and their families of Louisville, Kentucky. Lawrence was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years Esther, one son Everett Forseth, three brothers Lavern, Leonard and John Forseth and one sister Mae Forseth. Visitation will be Thursday August 19, 2004 from 10-11a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Florence, Wisconsin. Funeral services will be Thursday August 19, 2004 11a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Florence. Pastor Doug Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Florence, Wisconsin.
