Vulcan -Larry J. Stone, age 81, of Vulcan, Mich., passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain, Mich.

He was born September 1, 1936, in Norway, Mich., son of the late Alton and Mary (Blumert) Stone. Larry grew up in Norway and was a graduate of Norway High School. He moved to Detroit and worked in the automotive industry, returning to the area in 1986. In October of 1991, Larry was united in marriage to Delphia Stone. She preceded him in death on July 16, 2018.

Larry enjoyed flying his plane, hunting, building bird houses, making stained glass, making carpets on his loom, tinkering in his garage and especially loved his dog's Peppy and Little Man.

Survivors include his daughter, Angela "Missy" Conley, Vulcan, Mich.; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Delphia, Larry was preceded in death by one brother.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 10:00am until 11:00am at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, Mich. A celebration of Larry's life will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery, Norway, Mich.
