LaRayne Angelina Throm, 83, of Florence, Wis., passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital, Iron Mountain. She was woman of great care for her family and others who dedicated her life to the community through charity, religious education of children, and care for the elderly. Her dedication to others lasted even up to the last moments of her life.
She was born the youngest child to the late Frank Nicolette and Rachel DeMarco on November 19, 1925, in Florence, Wisconsin and was married over 25 years to the late Elmer R. Throm of Glidden Wis.
Survivors include four sons, Richard (Jean) Throm, Quinnesec, Dan (Cindy) Throm, Mark Throm, both of Florence, Michael (Deborah) Throm, Chapel Hill, N.C.; brother, Ernie (Phyllis) Nicolette, Oconomowoc, Wis.; sister, Helen (Frank) Meagher, Palm Dessert, Calif.; and two sisters-in-law, Verdilla Nacius, Long Lake, Wis., Barbara Nicolette, Woodruff, Wis.; she is also blessed to be survived by many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins who live throughout the country.

Visitation will be Friday, June 12, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary Catholic Church, Florence. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 11:00 a.m. at the church. Rev. Raymond Valerio will officate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Commonwealth, Wis.
