Kristine C. Ferris, age 53, of Kingsford, Mich., passed away Thursday, March 16, 2006, at Rochester Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn. She was born July 1, 1952, in Iron Mountain, the daughter of Floyd and Vivian (Makoutz) Wood. She married James Ferris on April 5, 1974, in Kingsford, Mich. After her marriage they resided at Six Mile Lake in Felch, Mich., as well as many other places across the country. Kristine, along with her husband, Jim, lived in Colonial Beach, Virginia, where she worked at the River Boat. After moving back to the area she worked for Khoury Brothers from 1996 to the present time. She enjoyed gardening, her cats and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Jim, her mother, Vivian Wood of Spread Eagle, Wis., brother Steven (Sheila) Wood of Iron Mountain, her twin sister Kathleen (John) Denton of Spread Eagle, Wis., and her sister Dawn (Ronald) Moore of Aurora, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kristine is further survived by two brothers-in-law Robert (Judy) Carlsen of Norway, Richard (Cheri) Ferris of Iron Mountain, a sister-in-law Jacki (Scott) Bourassa of Kingsford, four nephews Shawn (Jessica) Wood, Cody Denton, Tony Bourassa, David Carlsen, five nieces Bobbi Jo (Tim) Wilcox, Melissa Romero, Jodie Ferris, Cassie Bourassa, and Courtney Bourassa, and many great nephews and nieces. Besides her father Floyd, Kristine was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Suzanne Carlsen, a niece, Nicole Millard, and a nephew Ryan Moore. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 21, 2006, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor David Anderson will officiate.
