Kingsford – Kevin D. Sweet, 47, of Kingsford, Mich., passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at his home. He was born on January 13, 1973, in Iron Mountain, Mich., son of Karl Sweet and Clarice (Cuggino) Allen.
Kevin was a lifelong resident of the area; he worked for Tony Tomczak as a carpenter for 16 years and later for Grede Foundry and the last few years for the Super 8 Motel.
He's enjoyed many hobbies over the years, including fishing, camping, listening to music, and time spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Clarice Allen, Norway, Mich.; two brothers Karl Sweet, III., Appleton, Wis. and Ivan (Christine) Allen, Escanaba, Mich.; two sisters Marie (Kate) Sweet, Rhinelander, Wisc., and Marcella Clark, Carson City, Mich.; four uncles Frank Soul, Phillips, Wis., Leon (Kim) Amorelli, Elsworth, Wis., Sam (Kari) Kurtz, Dresser, Wis., Michael (Beth) Nofsinger, Elroy, Wis., and Steve (Johanna) Cuggino, Norway, Mich.; three aunts Elodia (Jeff) Geffers, Hancock, Wis., Sara Winberry, Fla., and Pam Cuggino, East Kingsford, Mich.; one brother-in-law Tim Monroe, Appleton, Wis.; one niece April (Jacob) Crites; four great-nieces Shaylee, Dakota, Savannah Pollock, and Sofia; his step-father Rick Allen, Iron Mountain, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his father, Karl Sweet, II; one uncle Jerry (Maxine) Cuggino, and one aunt Sheila Soul.
A celebration of Kevin's Legacy of Life will be announced at a later date.
