Kenny J. Oja, 60, of Pembine, Wis., passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at Bellin Health Services, Green Bay, Wis.
He was born on April 5, 1950, in Norway, Mich., son of Veikko and Marie (Vanhulla) Oja. Kenny married Susan Groy on October 31, 1980, in Iron Mountain. After being married, they resided in Pembine.
Kenny grew up in Niagara and graduated from Niagara High School. He worked at the Niagara Paper Mill until its closing.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and watching the Packers play.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Sue Oja, Pembine; his mother, Marie Oja, Niagara; one son, Daniel Oja, Appleton, Wis.; two daughters, Jenny (Darrell) Tachick, Appleton, Michelle Oja, Appleton; four brothers, Dennis (Sabah) Oja, Troy, Mich., David (Evelyn) Oja, Sterling Hights, Mich., Robert Oja, Walworth, Wis., John (Vivian) Oja, Minneapolis, Minn.; two sisters, Karen (Bill) Kufahl, West Lake, Ohio, Donna Oja, Terrance, Calif.; one grandchild, Abigail Tachick; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Veikko Oja.
Visitation will be Monday, October 11, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Rev. Ray Valerio will officiate. Burial will be in Pembine Cemetery, Pembine.
