Kenneth Oliver Edict, 81, of King, Wis., passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at King Memorial Veterans Home.
He was born January 30, 1931, in Niagara, son of the late Lee Edward and Bertha (Schwabe) Edict. Kenneth was in the United States Army where he served in the Korean War.
Kenneth loved hunting and fishing with his grandchildren, Chad Enderby and Casey Chevalier. He also loved feeding the birds and deer so he could watch them out the patio window with his two companions Lester and Curley.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Edict; two sons, Dean Edict, Gene (Terri) Edict and thier son, Nathan; three daughters, Debra (Jeff) Phillips-Bush, Dawn Behnke, Mary Margaret Chevalier; four sisters, Evelyn Patterson, Alice Welch, Lillian Leonard, Beth Goeden, twenty grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Margaret Janet Bartels; two brothers, Lee Elmer Edict and George Edict; one niece, Peggy Lee Patterson Kuester; one grandson, Jesse Daniel Walker.
The visitation will be held Saturday, February 4, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel. The American Legion Cretton-Tutas Post No. 136 of Niagara will accord military honors 11:00 a.m., Saturday at the funeral home. The memorial service will follow. Rev. James Danielson will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery, Niagara.
