Iron Mountain:
Keith L. Withrow, age 70, of Iron Mountain, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2004 at Whispering Oaks in Peshtigo, WI.
He was born in Hamilton, Ohio, August 4, 1934. He grew up in Somerville, Ohio and graduated high school there. He worked while in school and shortly thereafter at the family owned General Store. He then joined the US Navy and served during the Korean Conflict. Keith was honorably discharged after six years of service.
Keith became an Evangelist for the Assembly of God Church in Ohio. He married Ruby B. Smith on June 3, 1977, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Shortly after their marriage they owned and operated a dairy farm in Peggs, Ok, and later fulfilled Keith's dream as owner and journeyman meat cutter of Withrow's Meat Shoppe in Oxford, Ohio, until his retirement in 1981, when they moved to St. Sault Marie in the upper peninsula. In 1983, they moved to Alpha, MI where they operated a small farm. After eight years, they moved to Iron Mountain. Keith was a life member of the D.A.V. and a past commander and member of the Alpha VFW Post 7569 since 1985.
Survivors include his wife Ruby, two daughters Debra Dotson of Ohio, and Brenda Clark of Ohio, one step-son Michael (Theresa Hedrick) Trujillo of Iron Mountain, one step-daughter Dianne Trujillo of Oklahoma, one sister Dorothy Montello of Ohio, five grand children and four step-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Elmo Withrow.
Private services were held. Burial will be in Fort Gibson Veterans Cemetery in Oklahoma.
