Kathleen E.
Recla
October 12, 1934 – July 21, 2024
Niagara- Kathleen E. Recla, 89, of Niagara, Wisc., passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Maryhill Manor, Niagara, Wisc.
She was born October 12, 1934, in Niagara, Wisc., daughter of the late Neil and Rose (Pilon) Gordon. Kathleen was a long-time resident of Niagara and a graduate of Niagara High School. She married Patrick Recla, the love of her life, on April 16, 1955, in Niagara. They resided in Niagara until 1993 when they moved "Out to the Lake." Patrick preceded her in death on February 28, 2015.
Kathleen was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the SACCW.
Kathy loved living at the lake, her flowers, her birds, and crocheting for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid seamstress and reader, but most of all, she loved getting together with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Kathy was the matriarch of a large and loving family who instilled a strong work ethic, values, and common sense in all of us. Mom and Dad always made sure the house was filled with love and a lot of laughter.
Survivors include two sons, Patrick (LouAnn) Recla and Daniel "Rouch" (Sandy "Tweet") Recla; five daughters, Debbie (Randy) Wodenka, Lori (Daniel) Aderman, Julie (Robert) Butler, Betsy (Bruce) St. Arnauld, and Amy (John) Zipp; and by 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Kathleen was welcomed to Heaven by her parents, her husband, Pat; two grandbabies, Matthew and Danielle; and all of her sisters and brothers.
She was blessed with a wonderful life, a family that loved her and each other, and many, many close friends. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all. The family would love to extend a grateful thank you to the staff at Maryhill Manor for taking such exemplary and compassionate care of Mom and making her last days comfortable.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 26, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara, Wisc. The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Rev. Fr. Felix Abano will officiate. Burial will take place in the Niagara Cemetery, Niagara, Wisc.
