Katherine F. Marchi, 94, of Crystal Falls, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011, at Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls. She was born January 25, 1917, in Roseland, Ill., daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Raazyk) Lesniak. Katherine married John "Bunny" Marchi in Blaney, Mich. He preceded her in death on June 22, 2006. They moved to Crystal Falls in the mid 1970's. Katherine was a very active member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Crystal Falls. Katherine is survived by one son, Ronald (Peggy) Marchi, Orlando, Fla.; one daughter, Justine (Martin) Bonato, Orland Park, Ill.; one brother Donald (Jeanette) Lesniak, Braidwood, Ill.; one sister, Ethel Korienek, Chicago, Ill.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John Lesniak and Rev. Father Chester Lesniak; three sisters, Mary Mussato, Anne Lesniak, and Rose Cubalchini. Visitation will be Thursday, May 26, 2011, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Panozzo Funeral Home, Chicago Heights, Ill. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, May 27, 2011, 10:00 a.m., St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Orland Park. Burial will be held in Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Worth, Ill.
