Karen A. Phillips, age 64, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Friday, May 26, 2006, at Maryhill Manor in Niagara.
She was born October 28, 1941, in Kingsford, Mich., daughter of the late Harold and Elaine (Hallman) Miller. On July 22, 1961, she married Roy Phillips at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Niagara. He preceded her in death on January 14, 2000.
Karen was a member of the Niagara Women's Club, Niagara Area Assistance Program, Niagara Historical Society, St. Anthony Council of Catholic Women, St. Anthony Choir, and many other organizations and activities. She was secretary for St. Anthony Catholic Church and retired in March after 25 years of service.
Survivors include two sons, Michael (Kimberly) Phillips of Niagara, James (Julie) Phillips of Caledonia, Wis; one daughter, Cynthia (David) Boesen, Niagara; three brothers, Robert (Debra) Miller, Channing, Mich., James (Pam) Miller, Iron Mountain, Mich., Edward (Diana) Miller, Iron Mountain; six grandchildren, Megan, Amanda, Ashley, Heather, Stephanie, Nicholas, a step-grandson Travis, and two great grandchildren Haley and Corrina.
Besides her parents and husband Roy, Karen was preceded in death by one step-grandson Corey.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 30, 2006, 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Niagara. St. Anthony's Council of Catholic Women will offer a Memorial Service at 3:45 p.m. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, at 4:00 p.m. at the Church. Fr. Michael Betley will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery.
