Karen Lou Mlinar, 54, Tipler, Wisconsin, lost her second battle with cancer at her home, surrounded by the love of family and friends Tuesday, December 4, 2007.
She was born June 18, 1953, in Milwaukee, Wis., daughter of the late Howard and Virginia (Mummert) Krieg. On March 22, 1975, in Milwaukee, she married Michael 'Mick' Mlinar. He survives.
Life has many lessons to learn and there never seems to be enough time to grasp them all.
However, in her time of sorrow, she taught us all about compassion, for life and each other. Her love of nature was a reflection of the beauty she instilled in us all, so we as individuals will grow as the flowers she tended to with such care.
Survivors include her husband, Mick Mlinar, Tipler; one daughter, Mara Mlinar, University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh, one son, Anton Mlinar, University of Wisconsin at Madison; two sisters, Jill (Dean) Novitzke, Minneapolis, Minn., Jean Krieg, Madison, two brothers, Andrew (Kim) Krieg, Eagle, Wis., Huey Krieg, Milwaukee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was our rock, our strength, our mother, wife, sister, and friend. Thank you for being a part of our lives.
Private family services will be held. Friends may leave condolences and tributes to Karen's family online at www.jacobsfuneralhomes.com
The Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence, Wis., is serving the family.
