June R. Stachowicz, 83, of Crystal Falls, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2014, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls. She was born May 24, 1930, in Milwaukee, Wis., daughter of the late Paul and Irene (Riley) Clements. June grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from high school in 1948. She worked for the Wisconsin Electric Power Company for years. June married Jacob "Jack" Stachowicz on March 1, 1952, and they resided in Milwaukee for 25 years. They moved to Mastodon Township in Crystal Falls in 1974. She worked at Crystal Manor in the dietary department for 22 years. June was a member of the former St. Edwards Catholic Church, Alpha and was a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Crystal Falls where she served on the guild. June was a past member of the Christian Mother's Society at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Milwaukee and enjoyed crocheting and making afghans. June is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Jack; two sons, David Stachowicz, Grand Rapids, Minn., Thomas (Joy) Stachowicz, Crystal Falls; two daughters, Cheryle (Curt) Spicer, Crystal Falls and Robin (Michael) Mehrens, Iron River and twelve grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2014, 11:30 a.m. at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Crystal Falls. Rev. Fr. Jeffrey Kurtz will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls.
