Iron Mountain: June R. Peskey 79, formerly of 612 E. Sagola Ave. Kingsford, Michgan, went to be with her Savior on Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at Hyland Nursing Home in Iron Mountain, Michigan. June was born May 18, 1923, in Marquette, Michigan, daughter of the late Herbert and Augusta (Busse) Waltz. June grew up in Kingsford and graduated from Kingsford High School in 1940. She married Harold Peskey on June 29, 1974 in Florence, Wisconsin and resided in Kingsford. Harold preceded her in death on July 13, 1997. June was a member of the First Lutheran Church and was an active member of the church choir, bell choir, and also active in quilting with the Holy Comforters. She also was a life member of the DAV Auxiliary and was a Memorial Hospice Volunteer June is survived by two daughters RoseAnne (Ronald) Aman of Kingsford, Ronda Lucas of Kankakee, Illinois, three sisters Irma Eisenmann of Sun City, Arizona, Joyce Baldinelli of Iron Mountain, and Joan Oberthaler of Norway, three grandchildren Mike Aman of Saratoga Springs, New York, Steve Aman of Gladstone, Michigan, and Jennifer (Phil) Lerman of Scottsdale, Arizona, one great grandchild Jonah Lerman, and her step-children Leslie (Rose) Peskey of Il. Dennis (Kathy) Peskey and Roxanne Peskey both of Lower Michigan. She is preceded by one sister Judith Owsley. Visitation will be Friday, April 25, 2003, from 4 – 8 P.M. at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain and Saturday, April 26, 2003, from 9 – 10A.M. at First Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be Saturday, 10A.M. at First Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain, with Pastor Peter Jonas officiating. Burial will be in Breitung Township Cemetery in Quinnesec, Michigan. Pallbearers will be Curtis Oberthaler, John Oberthaler, Lucas Mayer, Eric Mayer, Eric Bradley and David Bradley. In lieu of flowers memorial can be made out to the First Lutheran Church, 1210 S.
