Florence: Joyce Veronica Soderberg, 88, of Florence, Wisconsin, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2006, at Florence Villa Nursing Home in Florence. She was born April 8, 1917, in Florence, daughter of the late Thomas and Alice (Cyr) Trudell. She married Waino Leppanen, and he preceded her in death in 1950. On April 7, 1956, she married Alfred Soderberg and he preceded her in death November, 1978. Joyce and Alfred were lifelong residents of Florence. She worked at Florence Villa and the Post Office in Florence. She also baby sat for many children in the Florence area. She enjoyed bowling, playing pool, music, dancing, reading and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all. Survivors include two sons John Leppanen, Florence, Warren "Bucko" (Special friend Amy) Soderberg, Florence; seven daughters Sharon Moratti, Florence, Deanna Hughes, Oconto Falls, Florence (Special friend Dan) Liddle, Florence, Adrienne (William) Hoehne, Florence, Bernadette (Billy Jack) Sjoquist, New Holstein, Wis., Brenda Mohr, Florence, and Alene (Joe) Sleeter, Florence; a sister Millicent (Vernon) Conn, Florence, a sister-in-law Jeannette (Roy) Frederickson, Iron Mountain, 21 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by five brothers, Gerald Trudell, Wilbert Trudell, Steven Trudell, Vincent Trudell and David Trudell; one sister Florence Heminger, seven grandchildren, two great grand children, four sons-in-law Roy Liddle, Mike Mohr, August Moratti, and Lloyd Hughes. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 4, 2006, from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home in Florence. Prayers will be recited 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Florence. Father Michael Betley will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Commonwealth, Wisconsin.
