Joyce Ann Paffrath, 78, Crystal Falls, died Saturday, August 4, 2007, at her home surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born February 22, 1929, in Crystal Falls, daughter of the late Herman and Maybelle (Keast) Aberly. On October 20, 1973, she married Andrew Paffrath. He preceded her in death on July 16, 1977. Joyce was a Life Member of the VFW Auxiliary Post No. 2891, Crystal Falls and enjoyed her volunteer work for them. She worked at the Iron County Medical Care Facility for nine years. An active member of her community, she was an avid supporter of all Forest Park sports teams and remained concerned for others through her debilitating illnesses. She will be forever missed by all who knew and were involved with her in this community and her activities. Survivors include her beloved children, Robert Aberly, Crystal Falls, Russell Aberly, Overton Tex., Harry Schippers, Gleason, Tenn., Bill (Nancy) Schippers, Loves Park, Ill., Mary Ann Schippers, John Schippers, Paul Schippers, all of Marietta, Ga., David Schippers, Illinois; siblings, Tom (Judy) Aberly, Thorton, Colo., Gary (Nancy) Aberly, Anchorage, Alaska, Joann (Bob) Hebert, Belvidere, Ill., Gail (Wesley) Heikkinen, Green River, Wyo., grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Andrew Paffrath and one brother, Wayne Aberly. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 7, 2007, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Crystal Falls. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Rev. Dino Silvestrini will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls.
