Iron River- Joyce Maglio, age 94, passed away peacefully at the Iron River Care Center on Saturday, December 27, 2025. She was born on June 3, 1931, in Alvin, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Vernie & Lillian Petts. Joyce married Clifford Dennison in October of 1950, and they had five children together. Later in 1971, she married Donald Maglio. They both preceded her in death.

Joyce attended school at the Elvoy School in Nelma, Wisconsin, and high school in Iron River, Michigan. In her younger years, she loved snowmobiling in the winter and rummage sales in the summer. She oversaw the distribution of commodities for the Alvin township for years. Joyce loved traveling on weekends by motorcycle with her husband, Don, and later in years by motorhome with friends and family out west. She was a member of the U.P. River Church in Iron River. While at the Iron River Care Center, it was church on Sunday and bingo the rest of the week.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Myra Brown of Green Bay, WI., son Gary (Nancy) Dennison of Alvin, WI., daughter Rena Dennison of Iron River, MI., brother Dale (Penny) Petts living out of state, and living locally grandchild Leah (Dan) Guinther of Caspian and many grandkids and great grandkids living out of state.

She was also preceded in death by her sons, Harold Dennison and Eric Dennison, and by her sisters, Larraine (Braccini) Hummell and Charlotte Burbank.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at U.P River Church, 317 W. Maple Street, Iron River, MI., with Pastor Jim Pellizzer officiating.
