Joyce M. Johnson, 81, of Crystal Falls, Mich., passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at her home.
She was born May 4, 1930, in Danville, Mich., daughter of the late Earl Kenneth and Irene (Scripter) Grable. Joyce married George Earl Johnson on March 2, 1953. He preceded her in death on November 2, 2009.
Joyce was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a registered nurse and held her RN license until the day she died.
Her strong faith and generous heart will be missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by one daughter, Sheri (Kerry) Branham, Iron River, Mich.; one son, Paul Johnson, West Allis, Wis.; three grandchildren, Tanner (Katie) Branham, Sierra Vista, Ariz., Cody (DuAnne) Branham, Graham, Wash., Timothy Melton, Rexburg, Idaho; four great-grandchildren, Colin Gabriel, Sadie Grace, Peyton Joseph, and Liam Avery Branham.
A visitation will be Saturday, October 15, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2001 Woodward Ave., Kingsford, Mich. The memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday at the church.
