Vulcan-Joyce L. Ehmke, age 72, of Vulcan, Mich., passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain, Mich. She was born March 21, 1944 in Oak Park, Ill., daughter of the late Charles and Della (Harp) Ehmke. Joyce was a long time resident of the Vulcan area and a graduate of Norway High School, Class of 1962. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingsford Congregation and had worked for AT&T for 30 years, retiring in 1990. Joyce enjoyed gardening, fishing and the outdoors. She was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. She is survived by two cousins, Joseph (Shirlee) Harp and Ron (LaVerne) Wisniewski, special friend, Patricia Heisenfeldt; many other loving friends and by one sister, Carole Ehmke. Visitation will be held, Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
